About this issue:
Original press. Blue Note 1569, BLP 1569. 47 West 63rd St, New York 23 at bottom of jacket on back. Deep groove center label. 47 West 63rd NYC on center label. RVG and etched “ear” in dead wax. Flat edge. Spindle has touch of wear.
Jacket Gorgeous cover! Front is very clean, no marks, no scuffs can be seen. Back has light foxing areas. Stains at lower right and left corners. No splits. Strong spine and edges. Bottom edge has light wear at about the center. Light corner wear, upper right corner has light crease/wear. This jacket is stunning! The foxing and stains keep it from NM. Jacket grade: EX+

Visual grade: No noticeable marks at all. Many would give this a NM visual grade.

Side 1
Track 1 – Light ticks at beginning. A pop at the 45 second spot. Some faint ticks through the opening bass parts. This part plays nicely, music at the forefront, nothing distracting. Up to the 5 min mark it plays cleanly. At around 5 min, you hear crackles, a pop at the 5:15. It clears up. The low parts during this track play very nicely. Ends with some light ticks.
Track 2 – Starts with same ticks for about 10 seconds and clears up. Some faint ticks here and there, spaced out. Very much behind the music, the bass it at the forefront here. Some pops at the 2 min mark, clears up. Guitar part kicks in and it sounds amazing. Transitions into piano solo and it’s just as strong. Light ticks as the bass solo starts here, they clear up quickly. Ends very strong.
Track 3 – Wow..a very strong start. Just super clear and clean. Bass solo is gorgeous with no background noise. Piano part starts and it’s just as strong. Some light ticks at 9 min mark, they disappear quickly. Ten minutes in and there’s a repetitive click, it clears up in about 30 seconds. It’s not overpowering at all. The scat drum section plays very cleanly into the bass part. Just gorgeous here! The quieter parts play without noise. The track ends strong.

Side 2
Track 1 – A great start, very clean here nothing behind the music. Bass part starts and it plays nicely. About 2:20 in a persistent tick, it disappears in 10 seconds. Throughout the track, sporadic ticks and pops heard, but not consistent. About 5:25 in, two louder consecutive pops heard, they disappear. The remainder of the track plays beautifully.
Track 2 – Starts just as strong. Clean and clear. Bass part plays beautifully, nothing behind it, a very clear section of the track. Guitar section kicks in and, wow, it shines here. Right into the piano section, it continues to play just as strong. Wow, this track played flawlessly.
Track 3 – Great, strong, clean start to the song. Bass solo plays clearly into the piano part, just as strong. Back to bass solo and, again, just as strong. No background noise at all. What a great track, ends just as strong. This track, too, played flawlessly.
Side 2 grade: EX+
Overall grade: EX to EX+. Many would call this EX+ to NM-, the ticks and pops keep it from that grade.
This record has been cleaned in our VPI cleaning machine.

Where did we acquire this record? In February 2024, we were hired by an individual in Charlotte who inherited these records from their father. He was somewhat active in the local radio scene,
some of these have radio stickers on the cover.

For multi-LP orders, we package your items nicely using bubble wrap, packing peanuts, and boxes big enough for padding around the records.
