Record Consignment Sales

We are Experts in the Record Consignment Sales business!

SellMyRecords & Packrat Auctions operates a full-time consignment sales and record store business. We have been in business for over 14 years and remain one of the few successful eBay Trading Assistants (Drop-off Store) businesses in the Country. Our Sales Stats show that we have sold over 150,000 items through consignments sales and more than half of that has been vinyl record & CD music collections. Most of our items are sold on eBay under our Packrat-Auctions Store and in our physical store location.

Is consignment sales right for you?

That depends on your personal situation and needs. Consigning your record collection through us will generate the best sales value over the long term but it does take time. We work hard as consignment sellers to get you the highest value for your items utilizing several selling methods including, auctions, fixed pricing with best offers and utilizing our own list of private collectors who are always looking for rare records to add to their collection.

How am I protected?

Every client is protected with a signed consignment contract detailing our services, commission and payment schedule. We have been in business for over 14 years and have worked with hundreds of satisfied clients. We are always just a phone call away and we also have a physical store location too in central New Jersey. We work hard to sell your items for the highest value.

How much do you charge & are there any fees I must pay?

The client does not pay for any additional fees other then our commission rate (which is only deducted from the sales price of items sold).

Our commission fee is a flat 50% of the final value of each item sold. Why so much? For a lot of reasons but the main one is that we absorb all the other fees associated with selling in our commission price. eBay now takes up to 15% of the value then credit card transaction fees are typically 3%. Then there are the ongoing costs of shipping supplies, online software, accounting, etc. and lets not forget that we do have staff that want to be paid for their efforts. Overall, you will find this to be a fair and typical rate in the industry and you won’t find many consignment sellers who are experts in their trade and superior knowledge in the music industry like us.

When do I get paid?

We pay all our clients bi-monthly with a detailed itemized report of the items sold showing of the final sale value and our commission amount deduction.
