About this issue:
Original press. 446 West 50th Street, New York 19, N.Y. at bottom of jacket.  Black and yellow fireworks label.  446 W. 50t St N.Y.C on center, deep groove label.  RVG in dead wax. Variant cover with thick stock cover in brown/pink.

Jacket
Jacket is in great shape.  Glossy cover is nice, ring wear scuff can be seen at lower right on jacket.  About a 1 1/2″ beginning of split at bottom edge, at about the center.  All other edges are nice and intact.  Light corner wear.  Back cover is very clean.  Tiny pencil writing at top left edge (4.98 written).  This jacket is just beautiful!
Jacket grade: EX- (due to that small split)

Vinyl
Visual grade:  Just spectacular!  Most would give this a NM based on the visuals.  Very clean on both sides, just some faint marks can be seen.

Play grade:

Side 1

Track 1 – Starts strong, very clean and clear.  Nothing behind the music.  Strong trumpet solo with no distractions.  Piano solo with bassline behind it sounds great.  A very few light pops, they go away.  Track ends strong.

Track 2 – Right out of the gate, the track is strong.  Nothing distracting behind it.  Piano part starts, and you have to struggle to hear those faint ticks.  They go away, however. Trombone part is clear and clean.  Sax section is also strong. This is a very clean track here and it shines.  A couple of ticks are heard, nothing steady, but they disappear.

Track 3 –  This track plays flawlessly from the outset. Just as strong deep into the track, nothing behind it to distract the listener.  Piano solo is stellar.  An exquisite track with no imperfections.

Side 2

Track 1 – Starts very clean and clear.  Moves into the sax solo and it’s just as clear. Some crackles can be heard at around 1:45, a pop heard.  Trumpet starts, some light crackles heard, then disappear.  A very strong trumpet solo, nothing behind it distracting.  A strong track.

Track 2 – Very clean and clear start.  Piano solo comes along and it stands out, nothing distracting behind it.  Ends with some light crackles, but not overwhelming.

Track 3 – Track begins with some light ticks behind the music, not overpowering.  Trumpet solo and there are some ticks heard, nothing consistent.  It disappears as the sax solo starts.  Strong solo here.  Ends clear and clean.

Track 4 – Trumpet solo at start, has light clicks behind it, they disappear about a minute in.  Throughout the trumpet solo, about a minute later, there are sporadic ticks towards the end.

Track 5 – Some crackles at the beginning can be heard, not overpowering.  Sporadic pops, they are low, however.  Sax solo and it clears up and sounds much better.  It continues into the trombone solo, a very clear part of this track.  It ends nicely.

Overall grade:  EX  (many would call this NM it plays so well, we are being conservative here)

No jumps, no skips.  The music is at the forefront here on both sides, and it sounds amazing!
