Jacket grade: VG+

Vinyl
Visual grade:  Side 1 is clean, just a few light, faint marks. Side 2 has a feelable mark on track one (where you can hear the pop and jump).

Play grade:

Side 1

Track 1 – Some light pops at the beginning, clears up about a minute in.  Just a beautiful sound here.  Piano part starts and the music is prominent here, just very light pop here and there, but the music is at the forefront.  About 3:49 into the song you can hear a persistent pop, at about 4:10 a jump, then it clears.  Trumpet picks up and its a clear sound.  Nothing persistent here in the background.  Song ends strong.

Track 2 – Strong out of the gate.  No background noise can be heard.   Trumpet solo strong, music stands out with nothing behind it.  Just a couple of sporadic pops during the sax solo.  Piano solo stars, just stunning here!  A couple of clicks can be heard as the solo plays on, they go away, however.  Bass solo is just as good.  One pop heard about 20 seconds into it.  After that, it is super clear and clean.  Piano solo with drums behind start and, again, a beautiful section of the song here.  Song ends just as strong.  A very very strong track here.

Side 2

Track 1 – Strong start. Music at forefront, no distracting noise behind it.  Clean, and clear.  Trumpet solo with bassline behind it is fantastic.  Two quick pops heard, then clear.  Sax solo starts, a light persistent click can be heard, though faint.  It disappears after about 30 seconds.   After that solo, it’s strong all the way to the end of the track.

Track 2 – A strong start, just a faint few clicks can be heard.  Trumpet solo with quick drums and bass behind it is strong, very clear and clean.  Sax solo kicks in and it’s just as strong. Just phenomenal here!  Back bassline with piano at the front and drums here, just a strong, clean and clear sound.  Piano solo strong, no background noise/fuzz behind it.  Trumpet comes in and again, it is strong.  A few pops can be heard, nothing consistent.  The song plays on here very nicely, music is at forefront.  Piano part comes in and it’s exquisite.  Plays strong here, very strong.  Ends just as strong.  Stellar track, just wonderful.

Overall grade:  VG (side 1) to EX (the jump on side one keeps it from a strong, full on EX)
